Alex Taylor

Project Director

Alex is a Project Director with over 14 years of experience helping organisations deliver complex projects, transform estates and turn strategic ambitions into tangible outcomes. Combining client-side insight with consultancy leadership experience, he is known for building strong relationships, bringing clarity to complex challenges and working collaboratively to achieve lasting results.

Alex began his career client side with Avon and Somerset Constabulary, where he spent almost five years supporting a major PFI programme before leading a range of estates transformation initiatives and refurbishment projects. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, he helped shape accommodation strategies and estate solutions that supported wider operational and organisational objectives.

He later moved into consultancy, building his career with Ridge & Partners, RPS, Turner & Townsend and Gleeds. Throughout this time, Alex has led projects, programmes and frameworks across the South West and nationally for a diverse range of clients and sectors, including the Department for Education, local authorities, private developers, commercial landlords, higher education institutions and blue light emergency services.

Most recently at Gleeds, Alex combined programme and project leadership with a broader management role, supporting the growth and development of the region and colleagues while leading major client commissions and frameworks. He was closely involved in mentoring aspiring professionals through their chartership journeys and took particular satisfaction in helping others develop their careers. As Department for Education Project Management Framework Lead, he played a key role in supporting the successful delivery of education projects and wider public sector programmes.

Alex is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and assessor, a Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), and an NEC Registered Project Manager (NECReg). He also holds an MSc in Construction Project Management and a BA (Hons) in Business Management.

What drives Alex is working with people to solve problems, create opportunities and deliver meaningful change. Whether supporting a major programme, guiding a project team or advising clients on strategic decisions, he brings a calm, pragmatic approach and a genuine commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
