Assistant Cost Manager

Ben began his journey studying Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the University of South Wales in Treforest, graduating in 2025. Whilst studying, Ben secured a placement year with Faithful & Gould in their Bristol office, which later led to a full-time position with his university studies completed on a part-time basis. This role exposed Ben to the Quantity Surveying profession, providing experience across a range of sectors. He had the opportunity to assist on several projects, undertaking a variety of pre- and post-contract duties.

Ben then moved to TC Consult in Cardiff as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, where he worked across multiple projects delivering both pre- and post-contract services. A significant proportion of Ben’s work at TC Consult focused on conservation projects, where he took ownership and led the post-contract Quantity Surveying services on a number of high-profile schemes throughout Wales.
