Tom Sutton

Project Director

Tom Sutton is a Project Director with over 20 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor. He has worked extensively across the commercial, higher education, and retail sectors, delivering projects from early concept through to completion and occupation.

His project experience includes delivering 23 retail outlets for Sky—the first physical shops the brand had ever built—alongside highly bespoke schemes such as the Freeman’s School Swimming Pool, a state-of-the-art facility sensitively delivered within ancient woodland for the City of London Freemen’s School. Other highlights also include Browns at 39 Brook Street, a high-end fashion boutique in the heart of Mayfair, and a secondment at Barclays Bank working client-side to deliver commercial office fit-out projects across the UK and Europe.

Tom enjoys working collaboratively with clients and project teams, guiding schemes through the full project lifecycle—from initial inception and feasibility, through design and construction, to handover and post-completion. He is known for his pragmatic approach, clear communication, and focus on achieving value-driven outcomes that meet client objectives.

Prior to joining emesen, Tom worked closely with the company’s directors for over eight years in his previous role, building strong professional relationships and a shared approach to project delivery. With a strong commercial background and a calm, measured style, he brings clarity and confidence to complex projects at every stage.
